My steampunk costume is an ever evolving project, and I am never quite certain how everything will come together until practically the last minute. And, despite all my previous work I have yet to establish a character for myself, and after meeting so many other steampunks at Anime Boston having a character name seems like the cool thing to do.
I present myself now as Captain Ivan Ashford of the HMAS "Nobile"! (sounds a little silly when I read that back to myself)
This costume up here is my own design. The undershirt and vest I only modified, but the overcoat I made entirely myself. The 'belt pants' also made a return for this costume, but they appear to be most obscured by my coat. I'm also a big fan of the boots I was able to find for this costume, so it might be worth zooming in and checking them out. I guess I don't have much else to say. Steampunk is getting really popular, and that's wicked awesome.
Haha, my friend and I were gonna ask to take your picture, but you walk to darn fast and we were standing in line for Travis Willingham's autograph signing.
I'll be going as a rogue sky pirate next year, unless I can scrounge up a crew. >.>

It's paid off, fo sho. You kept everything in the bounds of steampunk... I saw a lot of steampunk costumes that had things attached to them that really weren't steampunk, or they just didn't bother to cover things up (Like that guy with the nerf gun with the bright orange barrels... I mean seriously, at least paint them!) You did well!

We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
